Excerpts From The Exec

As I write this article I feel a sense of new hope. Hence, I would like to issue my own hopes for you and for NSTOY.

1. My first hope is that each of you has a healthy and happy new year.
2. I hope that you will find happiness in all that you do in your life.
3. I hope that you will find time to be of service to your community, schools, and NSTOY.
4. I hope that you will find time to share your talents, love and enthusiasm for education with those around you who need inspiration.
5. I hope that each day you will ask yourself if you have done all you can to improve education and the world for children.
6. I hope that you will find time to share in the continued work of NSTOY and the goals that we have set to help with educational issues.
7. I hope that you can be open to change in your life as we face many challenges.
8. I hope that you will become an active dues-paying member of NSTOY.I hope that you can find time in your busy schedule to attend the Maine Conference and offer your thoughts and ideas on how to best keep our organization running smoothly.
9. I hope that each of you finds time for a moment each day to reflect on all the good that you have in your life and enjoy the year ahead.

KEEPING MEMBERS INFORMED

The NSTOY Board of Directors has decided to revive the monthly "e-news." The intent is to keep active members of NSTOY better informed about the organization by email on a monthly basis. If you are a dues-paying or lifetime or honorary member and you do not have access to e-mail, please inform Art Peekel, who will try to arrange delivery via snail mail.

CALL FOR CANDIDATES FOR NSTOY!

There will be an election for Secretary and for 1st Vice President at the '09 Conference in Maine.

Terms are for two years. According to the NSTOY Constitution, after serving two years the 1st Vice President will become President and serve in that capacity for two years. Following that term the President serves a two year term on the Board of Directors as Past President.
