Teachers Evolve and Change with Help (TEACH) - NSTOY-PA members volunteer to mentor future teachers enrolled in education programs at Pennsylvania's state universities. 

Pennsylvania Governor's School for Teaching - NSTOY-PA members volunteer as guest presenters at this Governor's School for high school students as part of the organization's efforts to encourage quality young people to enter the profession of teaching.

Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching - Consider applying for this award.  Requirements include 5+ years of teaching; teach mathematics or science in grades 7-12 at least halftime.  The application involves a videotape and narrative explanation.  If you have applied for or are considering applying for the Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year or for National Board Certification, your tape might be appropriate.  You can review the nomination and application forms at the National Science Foundation web site.
